1. Who we are

This website is run by Scraps to Soil, a non-profit family project that sets up worm farms for family and friends. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at nicholasturck11@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

When you join the waiting list we collect the details you give us: your name or nickname, your email address, your phone number (optional), how many worm farms you would like and any note you add. Our hosting provider also records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to serve and secure the site.

3. How and why we use it

We use your details to contact you when a worm farm is ready for you and to arrange delivery and set-up. We never show names or contact details on this site, we do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has a legal effect on you.

4. Who we share it with

Waiting-list sign-ups are delivered to us by Resend (email delivery). The site is hosted on Vercel. Both act on our instructions as service providers. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your waiting-list details until your worm farm has been delivered and set up, or until you ask us to remove you, and then for as long as the law requires us to keep records.

6. How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS with a strict Content-Security-Policy and related security headers. Form submissions are validated on the server and emailed only to a fixed internal address. No personal information is stored in a database on this site.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to a supervisory authority. 8. Cookies and local storage

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. When you join the waiting list, a copy of your entry is kept in your browser's local storage (under the key scraps-to-soil_contact) so that nothing is lost if the submission fails to reach us. You can remove it by clearing site data for this website in your browser. The "Share this site" button uses your browser's own share sheet or clipboard and sends nothing to us. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies required to serve and secure the site.

9. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above. If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
